Four years later, in 2004, she completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the American University of Beirut. She then relocated to the United States, completing another residency at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Virginia. She stayed on at the American University of Beirut to complete a four-year residency in obstetrics and gynecology (2000-2004). To advance her training, Dr. Maarouf relocated to the United States, where she conducted a second residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Virginia (2005-2010). While there, she has received Best Teacher Award, Best Surgeon Award, Best Resident Award, and Best Research Award. In addition, Dr. Maarouf received board certification in in obstetrics and gynecology from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
